Sometimes tasks are not required on a job and need to be deleted from the contract. Tasks that are ticked as optional on the template are able to be deleted on jobs by users with access to the 'Delete Optional Tasks' function on the management tab of the contract.
Deleting a single optional task:
Click on the kebab menu on the task level UI. Click on the Delete option from the drop-down.
Click on the Delete button to confirm deletion of the optional task.
Deleting one or multiple tasks:
One or more optional tasks can be deleted in a go by selecting the optional tasks by clicking on the checkboxes next to the task name. Once the tasks are selected, click on With Selected. The With Selected button will display the number of tasks that would be deleted by displaying a number next to it. E.g With Select (2) which denotes that 2 tasks are selected to be actioned on.
Click on the Delete option from the drop-down menu.
Confirm deletion of the optional tasks by clicking on the Delete button.
Under the management tab of the contract, select 'Delete Optional Tasks' and from here you can select the optional tasks you wish to delete from the job you're working on.
Note, if the task is not optional you can still delete this from the frontend if you have access to super user edit task details. From here you can mark the task as optional and then delete as per the above:
