ClickHome: System Overview & Integration

ClickHome is an application designed to help companies in the residential construction market manage most aspects of their business. While customers often adapt the system to their specific internal workflows, the following summary explains where ClickHome fits into a building company's IT infrastructure.

CRM: Customer Relationship Management

  • Interaction Tracking: ClickHome serves as the central repository for all Interactions, Notes, Emails, Tasks, and Documents.
  • Integrated View: It can import and integrate with financial systems to present a single, consolidated view of the customer relationship.
  • Sales Force Automation: Using the Leads, Land, and Tenders modules, companies can track potential leads, manage sales activities, and prepare pricing and proposals. It also supports inventory management through Spec Sales.

Pre-Construction & Workflow Management

  • Workflow Engine: At the core of ClickHome is a logic-based engine that manages task allocation and custom business processes. This ensures staff follow company routines step-by-step and stay on top of job requirements.
  • Contract Admin: Automates the administrative path to site, managing the "paper trail" from initial deposit through to site start.

Project Management & Construction

  • Scheduling: Built on the workflow engine, ClickHome is used to plan, allocate, and schedule tasks for both internal staff and external teams (trades, suppliers, and subcontractors).
  • Field Tools: Provides mobile applications (for iPad and Windows) for site supervisors to manage call-sheets, site photos, and inspections in the field.
  • Resource Management: The system provides baselines, forecasting, and resource management to keep projects on track.

Supplier & Trade Coordination

  • JobFile: This integrated portal allows for direct communication with trades and suppliers. It facilitates the distribution of plans, purchase orders, and schedules, while allowing trades to confirm work or flag issues.

Customer Experience (MyHome)

  • Customer Portal: ClickHome includes a module called MyHome. This allows you to generate a customised, branded portal to improve communication, allowing customers to track progress, view photos, and access documents.

Customer Service & Maintenance

  • Maintenance Module: Provides a dedicated environment to manage and service post-construction issues, warranty work, and defect tracking once the project is handed over.

What ClickHome is not

  • Not a financial or accounting system: ClickHome manages the process, but you will still require a financial system for your general ledger and accounts. Common integrations include Dynamics AX, Xero, DataBuild, Beams, Constructor, or BusinessCraft.
  • Not a drawing system: ClickHome is used to distribute plans, not create them. You will continue to use CAD software such as ArchiCAD or AutoCAD.
