A Tender is associated with a Master Contract (either a lead or preconstruction workflow), however this is not strictly required. 


The minimum information required to initiate a Tender is a House Type and a Price Level. 


A new setting added, Suburb required determines if the Tender requires a Suburb (which can be used in Price Level determination and can apply a surcharge value) be supplied before the Tender is created. The user that created the tender is recorded. 


The default Tender Type will be 0 (customer tender), but others can be used. The default status in Tender Status will be Draft (0), and the Estimator & Customer Status will also be (0) Pending. Despite the default status being Draft, this functionality is completely configurable. 


The Tender Title is controlled by the phase. The field TenderNamingRule determines the pattern and fields used to generate the name. Duplicates have a numeric suffix appended. 


If the Tender is not for a customer, then there will be insufficient information to obtain a correct pricing level and the default pricing level should be used by default. If the tender is for the customer, then the Pricing level will be obtained.


A default list of options will be added to the Tender, only if you have configured this. The Tender has a House Type which links to Options by a table called OptionHoudeLinks. 


All options that are linked (in the table) and the link is current(1) are added to the table TenderOptionSelections. The option selections will be added with defaults from the Option record itself, and the Price will be determined by looking up the Price using the Tender Price Level from the TenderOptionPrices table. 


If no price is available or if the Option record has Estimated Required, then the price status will be set to 11 Quote Required, or it will be set to 0 Default All OK. The quantity will be set from the Option Record except where the Option Record has the flag Quantity Required, where the Quantity will be set to 0. The availability atatus will be set to 0 Default All OK.
